WE COVER THE GEEK CULTURE YOU LOVE.

BY THE GEEKS FOR THE GEEKS.

The craze that has sent many a person walking straight into lamp posts around the world is stronger than ever thanks to some new updates and more Pokemon to catch. However, it wouldn’t be Niantic unless some server issues were causing problems!

After the disastrous Chicago Pokemon GO Fest, Niantic has decided to postpone the European events. In all honesty thins is the best news I have had recently. No, I do not dislike Pokemon GO, I am in all honesty, completely addicted to it! If you knew me then this would surprise you, given that before the games release I assumed a Squirtle was some sort of bladder infection.

Now I know better, no expert, but know enough to hold my own. So when I say I’m glad for the delays, it’s said with love for the game and hope that Niantic can sort out these damn server issues. Given the amount of money it will no doubt cost to join in the event, the last thing I want to see, or endure, is what the poor fans of Chicago had to go through.

Fingers crossed Niantic can get these constant server issues sorted as the base idea of mass Pokemon hunting would be great! As it is, last summer was so much fun aimlessly wandering spotting other Pokemon enthusiasts, blindly staring at their phones, till there's that brief glance between you both, the nod, the acceptance you are both playing and the continuation without a word said.  Priceless, silent geeky fun!
